Were there ever sacred artists that use a hunger madra Path?
Will Wight
Effectively no.
Were there ever sacred artists that use a hunger madra Path?
Effectively no.
Would it be easier for Lindon to veil his unused core? Possible to hide it from others perception completely?
Yes, people have to scan more closely to detect his second core even when he's not veiling it. Blackflame is easier to detect than pure madra, and a core that's in use is easier to detect than one that isn't.
I've always imagine Suriels Presence sounding like Legion from Mass Effect, and now that we know a bit more about them, is that not too far off the mark?
Sure, why not?
Read and find out!
Where are the territories?
They are stuck to Amalgam like barnacles.
Was Ghostwater just a completely empty water Territory/fragment before Northstrider corralled it?
It was a chunk of ocean floor that outlived its world.
How would someone bind ghostwater into a new territory? Very carefully?
If you were in the void outside of Amalgam, you could travel through the Way to Cradle, seize fragments of GW as it shattered, and then travel back to Amalgam and attach them to the world with the strength of your will. However, to make it stick, you would also need people from the Amalgam side to enter it and start living there, so you’d need to create a way for that to happen.
Was valinhall someone else's pocket world?
no, but similar in nature.
what was There before valinhall
fragments of broken worlds that he bound together as rooms into a house. The house was the greatest of the fragments, and contained the Nye.
What was Valinhall like when Valin arrived
I understand the spirit of your question, but Valin didn’t arrive in Valinhall. He built Valinhall.
1. Do the Nye have actual bodies besides Cloth chains and essence? 2. What was Valinhall like before Valinhall got there 3. How did Valin get gold from Elysia if it hadn’t been opened in 300 years
1.) No. 2.) It wasn’t. 3.) He slipped in.
What is another magic system you want to go into? If you want to talk about it that is.
Magic system: none of them are fully fleshed out yet, because I would only do that when I was ready to write the book, but I’d like to do a creation magic system at some point.
Do heralds tend to follow monarchs because a monarch is needed to help them advance or just cause they're OP.
Heralds: spoilers, read and find out.
So are the Monarch not actively trying to become more powerful then without ascending because that has some backward thinking considering the dreadgods can kill them if they aren't careful
Monarchs have basically tapped out the limits of sacred arts. Which is why Northstrider was looking into alternate means of becoming stronger in GW.
I forget exactly how Monarchs are restricted from advancing further without leaving Cradle(Abidan just threaten to kill them? Or there's some kind of force preventing it?) but is Ghostwater basically Northstrider trying to get around the restrictions by making his power use more effective than other Monarchs rather than just advancing?
The restrictions on Monarchs haven’t been explored yet.
For an actual question, what's an interesting type of aura/madra that hasn't been seen/mentioned in the books yet?
I’d like to get into death madra at some point, and we haven’t seen much of it.
at what point in advancement do you become immortal (Herald,Monarch, Abidan)?
Archlords live a really long time, and Heralds are essentially ageless.
Thanks for the answer, not sure if you do follow-ups, but Northstrider very clearly wants a 'subordinate' mind, is Dross suborindate to Lindon? Or a partner? What if Lindon wants to do something Dross doesn't want to do.
I guess that might too detailed... is Dross what Northstrider wants in terms of independence i guess is my question
Northstrider thinks of a Presence as something like an extra mini-brain, which is not entirely right. A Presence is more like a committee of experts inside your head that speak with one voice. In Dross’ case, there’s one dominant personality speaking for that committee. Dross and Lindon could disagree, and Lindon might lose the benefits of having Dross around, but Lindon could also kill Dross. Plus, Dross still has his essential nature as a memory construct; he doesn’t really mind doing what he was built for.
When will Lindon get a drudge?
When he builds one.
Was wondering a bit about Dross and Northstrider, I've read the WoW and we were discussing it last night. I know you've said that Northstrider would think Dross was a failure because he doesn't have the depth of information as a Abidan presence, but I was also wondering if Dross is a bit more aware/independent than Northstrider would like/how the Abidan Presences are
Like Suriel's keeps giving distance units to various places, even when clear context would say not to do that, until she tells it to stop. We’ll get more into the nature of Presences as the series progresses, but basically they’re each very individual. Suriel’s is very different from Makiel’s in both specialty and personality, etc.
